Wild Weather

This is the picture I text messaged my boss yesterday morning in case he was wondering why I wasn’t in the office yet. Wednesday was a normal Colorado day, sunny, clear and about 70 degrees. Late Wed. night, and into Thursday morning, we had a blizzard. Yeah, that’s right a blizzard. Some areas got as much as 18 inches of snow.

It wasn’t the first snow we’ve gotten this year, but it came so fast that our office building didn’t have time to turn the heat on, so Thursday we had the AC blowing full blast.

The difference between wintry weather here in Colorado verses back east is that today its back to being sunny, clear and in the high sixties. I still can’t get over how sunny it is here despite the crazy fits of snow. It’s like the best of both worlds here. We get the picturesque quality of snow, but none of the mess cause it’s gone in a day or two. Here is our candidate and another staffer blowing off some steam earlier today. Not even 24 hours laters and its hard to tell we had any snow at all

New Video

I try not to put to much about the campaigns I work on here, but I thought you all might enjoy this video we just did. We sent this out to our 70,000 plus email list and have gotten some media coverage from it. We've also raised several thoudsand dollars off this video too. I hope yall like it, our TV commercial will use some of this footage but will be cut down to 30 seconds and have some above water shots of Ken too.

PS
it's subtitled but there is music and some talking so turn up your volume!

Light at the end of the tunnel!!!

We’ve got about a month to go before Election Day and I can’t believe it’s almost over. I wont bore you with the campaign details, but all I can say is it’s a total toss up. We might win we might lose. Part of me is just ready for it to be over so I can return to a somewhat normal life (well as close as I’ll ever get). Part of me is also scared that without a campaign and something worth fighting for my life will become mundane. It would definitely be nice to make more money, but I need to feel good about what I’m doing. I want to know that I’m helping people or making a difference in the world.

Hopefully all this will make more sense when I’m getting eight hours of sleep a night and not always stressing about how much money we’re are going to report. Anyway if yall have any words of wisdom for me don’t be shy I’m all ears!

Here are some more pics from the road:
